Day One!!
Where to start!
How about the basics.... My name is Liz, I am 29years young. I have always been a very active person. I grew up riding horses and harleys and being generally active. I joined the United states Marine Corps when I was 19 and enjoyed the discipline and routine. I was in amazing shape and learned how to really tone and work my body. Recently in 2013 I became a health coach for Herbalife, and AMAZING nutrition company! I got into awesome shape using the products and working out with my team.
Fast forward ten years and two babies and a injured back later and I am left much heavier than my USMC fighting weight At 5'2 I should weigh around 125-130 to be happy. Even after having kids 125-130 was my happiest weight.
This past summer held a lot of drama and change in our lives and as a consequence I fell into a depression, eating anything I could get my hands on. Comfort food being my favorite. I was also laid up over the summer healing from an injury, the combination of all those things created the perfect storm. I gained and gained and gained. I tried to ignore it or laugh it off, buying bigger sized and looser shapes to hide what was happening. I stopped drinking my Herbalife shakes , quit my program, stopped coaching my clients and just generally fell off the wagon.
Well here I sit today, humbled. This morning I faced the facts and stepped onto our scale, I knew I had gained some weight but it shocked me when I read the numbers. in five short months I had ballooned from 125lbs to 157lbs! HOLY CRAP RIGHT! 32lbs, I feel like I have failed every one of my clients. looking at the numbers and facing the facts I am ready to make a change.
So today is day one. Not day one of my "diet" but day one of my lifestyle. I mixed up a latte shake, took all of my tablets and tea and started my day. Today is the first day that I have felt energetic and excited in a long time. I am excited to see improvements in my skin, energy, hair, mood and so much more! I will be chronicling my adventure. Lb by Lb I will loose this weight and I will take you all along with me.
